When I was young, I heard a song called "Fuck the Middle East" by a group called
SOD. Maybe it was MOD. Same band, different name, and I don't remember which
name they were using. Either way, they ranted about stealing Iran's oil and blowing
up Japan. I think I was in seventh grade at the time and laughed my ass off and
cheered.
I got older and found a peace in myself and with others and didn't laugh at that
kind of sentiment anymore. It's nice really a kind thing to think about wiping
large groups of people off the planet just for the hell of it.
I got older still and started to understand WHY I might want to remove certain
Middle Eastern people or groups from the human race. Certain groups have no respect
for human life and take it from people for the most ludicrous reasons. Groups
of people that blow up their own country because there are other groups they
don't like being there. Groups of people that kill innocents to send some obscure
message.
But I understood that we can't just kill people like Sadaam or BinLaden... there
was always the thought of "better the devil you know than the devil you don't." You
know... if we kill the head of this terrorist snake, will it grow a more dangerous
head? Would the blowback of whacking their leader be worse than any terrorist
act we had seen so far.
Well, I'm older still and just witnessed the worst act of terrorism, the worst
condemnation of the philosophy that people are born inherently good. An apparently
large and organized and well resourced group of people flew planes into and planted
bombs in the World Trade Center, and flew a plane into the Pentagon. The WTC
fell completely, both twin towers down and the building next door. A plane down
outside of Pittsburgh that was heading for Camp David. The news said it went
down. People say the military shot it down. Either way, innocents dead. The Pentagon...
people dead.
And now, even with my age and wealth of experience and peace, I'm at the point
right now where I'm yelling Fuck the Middle East!
I'm so disgusted at this. Upset. Angry. I've gotten over being worried because
I hadn't heard from my dad, who works in the Financial District in NYC, or my
cousin who works across the street from the WTC. I know they're okay. So that
stage of being worried and scared, is gone.
I WAS just shocked and kinda sad after that. My thoughts were of sympathy for
those who lost people in the crashes. Until I saw video of people in Jerusalem...
dancing in the street... handing out candy... cheering and screaming "God is
good!"
THEY WERE FUCKING CELEBRATING!?!
And that is when it occurred to me that these people need to be removed from
the gene pool. Turn all those countries into the world's largest crater. Slash
and burn. And salt the earth so nothing will ever grow there again.
They're so proud of what they've done, let them die to prove it. They want to
wage war, let them pay the price of it. Evacuate our allies and lay waste to
the entire region.
Fuck them all.
And if our government doesn't take action globally, I've got a good feeling that
civilians will take action locally. I've already heard about middle eastern cab
drivers being pulled from their cabs and beaten.
Were I of middle eastern nationality, living in the US, I would be afraid. Very
afraid. And reasonably so.
Were I of a middle eastern group who had a history of terrorism but was not responsible
for this, I'd be quick to try and find out who did. You never know when the US
is going to decide to take action against all it's enemies, despite their not
claiming responsibility.
Things are about to get very ugly and very dangerous.

So I've had some time to calm down and had some time for
someone to point out that maybe laying an entire corner of
the earth to waste over the actions of a few people might
not be the best way.
Of course it's true. It's true because as it's been coming out, there are
governments in the Middle East coming to our aid, showing grief and disappointment,
sending their condolences. There are innocents over there that don't agree
with the bombings, just as there are "Americans" here that are celebrating this tragedy.
So perhaps I was wrong in saying "fuck the middle east". That was the easy way
out. Since the majority of the terrorists in the world are from that region,
it WOULD make it easier to kill all of them.
Maybe what I should've said is fuck EVERY idiot in the world that finds the
Trade Center attack worth celebrating. Fuck EVERY member of the world community
who terrorizes any other, whatever their reason. Fuck EVERY SINGLE PERSON who
planned for this, supported it with money or protection, executed it, knew
about it before it happened, or cheered for it from the sidelines... no matter
WHERE on the planet they are.
Just because someone is of Middle Eastern decent, doesn't mean they deserve
to be treated as one of the culprits. And just because a person is Muslim doesn't
mean they agree with this action, or any action of violence. There are many
Americans of Middle Eastern decent and/or of Muslim faith that mourn what happened.
And just because someone might live in the Middle East means they should be
treated as one of the culprits.
Yes, I understand and believe that, and always have.
But wouldn't it just be easier to send every terrorist supporter in this country
back to the Middle East, get all the innocents out of there, and turn the whole
place into a parking lot? =P
