Truth

This one goes right along with Subjective
Reality...
What is true?
What is the truth?
Any religious person thinks they know the truth about life, death, and the
powers that be. But no one REALLY does.
Two eyewitnesses at the same accident can come away with two different stories
without either of them lying.
History is written by the winners.
So what is the truth?
I see the truth like a coin. There are three sides to the truth, like there are
three faces to a coin.
Three faces?
Yes, three faces. Just like most people overlook that third face, people overlook
the real truth. That third face is the edge of a coin.
To any story there is my side, your side, and what actually happened.
Heads.
Tails.
The Edge.
That edge allows you to stand a coin up and see both sides of it. Both sides
of The story balance on what is real, neither of them being The absolute truth.
Maybe it's a matter of perception. From one angle a coin is round, from another
it is flat. Maybe you and I just saw things differently.
Maybe it's a matter of interpretation. We both saw The same thing but interpreted
it differently.
Maybe it's a matter of bias. Consciously or unconsciously, our assessment of
any situation has a certain bias to it, based on our own individual experiences.
Maybe one of us is just outright lying.
Whatever The cause, no two stories are completely The same, and no two humans
define The same experience with The exact truth.
The Truth is there. It exists with or without our permission or knowledge of
it. It exists no matter which side of The coin is facing up. It's just a bit
harder to see that way.
