What I'm Looking For

As for what I'm looking for... it's really hard to portray the dream without it coming off like I'm looking for perfection. =)

Ideally, I want someone who is romantic enough to understand just how powerful Love is, and realistic enough to know that Love isn't always easy.

Someone who is intelligent enough to discuss topics beyond "what color shoes should I wear with this?", maybe discussions to the point of debate, but who is also understanding enough to realize that sometimes it's more important to be happy than to be right.

Someone who is serious when it comes to what needs to be done to take care of themselves and those they care about, but fun-loving and impulsive enough to blow those things off from time to time for some good times and good laughs... and intuitive enough to know when that can and can't be done.

I want someone who can sometimes accept what she can not understand, believing that differences can coexist in harmony.

I want someone who honors herself and her loved one enough to be honest with him despite her fears, but who also understand that some times, discretion IS the better part of valor.

I want someone who can take care of themselves, but who also doesn't mind being taken care of.

Someone I can look at with pride, not just for who she is, but who she wants to be, and what she's doing to get there... and who looks at me the same way.

I want someone who's wants to make me feel good, the way I want to make her feel good.

Someone who can appreciate that while I have an adult mind, I also have a child's heart, and sometimes treat this world like my playground. And I want her to be the same.

I want a friend, a lover, and a soul mate... all in one person.

Like I said, it sounds like I'm looking for perfection. And maybe I am. But to me, "perfection" is more about understanding and accepting flaws as a part of Beauty than it is flawlessness. For no one is perfect as most people describe it. But there are a few out there that are perfect as I describe it.
